Welcome to weekly update 52, Derby SWP's brief guide to the political week ahead!

Branch Meetings

Although we had to postpone last week's meeting, this Thursday we will be back to normal and having a discussion on the theme of the holocaust and lessons socialists can learn and what we need to do today to ensure that it can never happen again. This Thursday, 7 pm at the West End Community Centre.

Anti-Austerity, Anti-Cuts Demonstration

The Derby Trades Council has called a demonstration against the cuts to government spending. All organisations and individuals who want to see an end to austerity are invited.

The date has yet to be finalised: it will either be the next council meeting at the end of January or the budget meeting in March. We will update you as soon as we know.
